Common Name:  Ceylon Puffer
Scientific Name:  Tetradon Fluviatilis

Max Size:  ~ 8 inches (20 cm)

Temprament:  

Preferred Water:    Light Brackish (SG 1.004 - 1.010) when they are < 2 inches (5 cm)
                            High Brackish (SG 1.012 - 1.016) or Marine when they are > 2 inches (5 cm)

Temperature:  78 - 82 F

 

 

Tank Mates:  Best left by themselves, but can sometimes tolerate tank mates (depends on your puffer's personality).  Some tolerated tank mates include Mollies (not Balloon Mollies), Knight Goby (while Puffer is young), and other Ceylon or Green Spotted Puffers.
